History

TFest started on a Friday in the early 2000’s with a small group of friends getting together for beer, food, and gaming. That Friday was such a success it became a semi-regular event, and more friends were invited. Those Fridays became weekends, and even more friends were invited. Originally called "Geekfest" the events went on for several years with continued impetus. Traditional events and games were formed, and the event continued to grow. From simple board games to highly involved role-playing game campaigns, we tried it all and all games were welcome. New games and new friends were introduced and encouraged. Always at the heart of Geekfest was our love for fellowship around the game table.

When our friend Terry, one of the pillars of our group, passed away in 2017, we changed the event’s name to TerryFest (now TFest), to honor and keep his memory alive, and to remind ourselves why we do this. After outgrowing the living and dining rooms we started in, TFest is now taking the next logical step in its growth and expanding to include all the games we haven't played and friends we haven't met ... yet!

Our Team

The TFest team is made up of lifelong gamers, dungeon masters, board game strategists, and community organizers who believe tabletop gaming brings people together in powerful ways. What started as a love for rolling dice and exploring new worlds has grown into a convention built on friendship, creativity, and tradition. Behind the scenes, our team handles everything from logistics and partnerships to event scheduling - all with one goal: creating a space where everyone feels welcome at the table.

Thank you for being part of this growing community. We can’t wait to see you at the table.
